We have had a business partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for 16 years. Accordingly, we were thrilled to be able to participate in AWS re:Invent, a trade show in Las Vegas, for five days at the end of November 2022. Our colleague Marcel Schmidt was lucky enough to be there live! Find out what exciting insights we gathered there and what benefits this has for you here in our trade show review.

Well attended and full of innovative booths - that was the first impression our colleague got of re:Invent. But the trade fair was not only a visual experience for Marcel, it was also worth the visit in terms of content. His personal highlight? The numerous presentations by renowned experts on really interesting and innovative topics. For us, this was a valuable opportunity to broaden our professional horizons.

For example, one presentation dealt with machine learning and new, exciting tools and functions that will play a role in the future. These include Amazon Monitron: an end-to-end system that uses machine learning to detect behavioral changes in industrial machinery at an early stage and initiate predictive maintenance. A great tool to reduce unplanned downtime! Our colleague was similarly impressed by Amazon Lookout for Metrics: via machine learning, the state of one's own company can be proactively monitored in order to diagnose problems and find solutions quickly, for example.

Another presentation dealt with the deployment workflow tool "AWS Proton", which can promote organizational agility in modern applications. The next announcement was about the so-called SageMaker Edge Manager: a module management for edge devices to optimize machine learning on them. AI models can thus be run directly on end devices. They do not require an extra cloud connection - which we consider to be absolutely efficient.

The re:Invent also had a lot to offer interactively: Participants were able to learn various skills and content at specially set up learning stations. Especially cool: Group work enabled visitors from all over the world to exchange ideas with each other! Our colleague Marcel did not miss the opportunity to have some interesting conversations and learning sessions.

In the end, we have gained a lot of input and ideas for our own work from the numerous learning contents and insights. We are working on making staffitpro even more efficient and clever with the help of the skills we have learned. Our collaboration with AWS is based on mutual support and further development, for example in innovative development processes. This helps us to stay ahead of the game! The result? An impressive, innovative all-in-one solution that makes our clientele's jobs so much easier!

In conclusion, we can only say one thing: wow! Even two months after our visit to re:invent, it's hard for us to stop being amazed and proud of the impressions we were able to gather in Las Vegas. All the more we are now happy about the partnership with AWS working so well and look forward to future collaboration with confidence!
