Cloud computing is becoming more and more prevalent in times of growing digital data volumes. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a US cloud computing company. We recognized this trend very early on and have been working with AWS for 16 years. With more than 200 services, the cloud computing provider is considered the world's most comprehensive cloud platform. But we also have other reasons for working together.

What are actually the advantages of AWS over other cloud providers? For example, the significantly higher number of services and the broader range of services. The benefits range from infrastructure solutions such as computing units and storage to databases and new technologies related to machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and their analysis, and the Internet of Things (IoT). In addition, AWS services offer the highest variance of features. For example, the largest selection of databases, each designed for specific applications. In our view, however, the greatest advantage of AWS is the absolute freedom to adapt the services to one's own needs and to combine them flexibly with one another. Each service is designed so openly that we, as developers, enjoy full autonomy in its use and design.

AWS is designed - as of today - to be one of the most flexible and secure cloud computing environments available today. The core infrastructure is designed from the ground up to meet the security requirements of military installations, global banks, and other security-critical organizations. This inherently secure environment is further protected by a comprehensive set of cloud-based security tools that provide 230 critical security, compliance and governance features and services. AWS supports 98 security standards and compliance certifications. In addition, customer data can be encrypted with all 117 AWS services that collect the data.

AWS's goal is to be carbon neutral by 2025, for example, using sustainable electricity and recycling polluted water. We think these are all sufficient reasons for a partnership we are proud of for its longevity and intensity. In fact, our company is one of the first IT service providers in the world to offer Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud systems as infrastructure for its own customers. The idea of being future-oriented, sustainable and DSGVO-compliant is another benefit - for our customers as well as for us.
