Advent magic and Christmas markets: How did the staffitpro team spend the first weekend of Advent?

So, have you already been to the Christmas market this year? At any rate, staffitpro has already been busy sampling the stalls - the whole team is well into Christmas fever and has gathered some impressions. Our marketing colleague Lena has been particularly busy Christmas market hopping and has also collected real must-haves from some of her colleagues that you absolutely have to try the next time you visit a Christmas market. Read more in this blog article!

"Last Christmas, I gave you my heart..." was the introductory background music when I entered the Wiesbaden Christmas market for the first time this year. There was a wide variety of culinary specialties to try at numerous stalls and there was no shortage of twinkling lights either. Mainz and Frankfurt have a similar atmosphere - and put visitors straight into the Christmas spirit. Admittedly, with the ever-expanding range of food and drink on offer, it is really difficult to choose.

Nevertheless, I have a few cool must-haves here that are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit:

Mulled wine variations: Anyone who loves mulled wine will have a lot of fun at this year's Christmas markets. You can now choose between numerous delicious varieties of mulled wine. My absolute favorite, however, is the cherry mulled wine with an amaretto shot. And my colleague Vanessa Termöllen also uses amaretto in her mulled wine. It's also available non-alcoholic, by the way. And here's another recommendation from Sabrina: Lumumba. For her, the sweet cocoa drink with a hint of rum and whipped cream on top is a must for any visit to the Christmas market.

Love goes through the stomach: the days of the standard bratwurst with mustard and ketchup are over. Over the years, the selection of available delicacies has grown rapidly and offers the right dish for every taste. Vegan or vegetarian visitors are also offered suitable alternatives.

Yesterday I tried Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla and cherry sauce for the first time at the Wiesbaden Christmas market and I am thrilled - a big recommendation! Vanessa has a similarly sweet tooth: she highly recommends the crêpes there - with amaretto as a topping. But fans of savory delicacies will also get their money's worth: whether fries variations, for example so-called loaded fries (fries with various delicious toppings), different grill variations, burgers or the classic bratwurst. This year I tried the loaded fries with fried onions and cheese sauce as a topping and found them incredibly tasty.

As you can see, a visit to the Christmas market is definitely worthwhile this year. Especially if you want to enjoy the culinary delights of the pre-Christmas period as well as the visual impressions and cheerful music, you're in the right place. And it doesn't matter whether you go to a small regional Christmas market or visit one of the larger markets. We wish you lots of fun and a good appetite and look forward to the next blog article!
